He is a member at Medinah Country Club and plays regularly, but now he is able to practice from the comfort of his own home. Vaughn desired a short golf hole in one area of his large St. Charles, Illinois property, and a second backyard putting green built in a separate area. On the other side of Vaughn’s St. Charles property, we installed a 1500 sq. foot putting green in a cozier space. A putting green of this size would fit in many typical backyards in the Chicago area. It has several hole locations as well as chipping circles. Because golf shots won’t be hit into this green, we had the option of using a different type of putting turf than the short hole. It requires no maintenance and is especially convenient for our Chicago winters with all the thawing and freezing. PGA teaching professionals and players in the Chicago area also find this type turf to roll very true as well.
